Bluegrass Capital LLC is a private consulting and investment firm based in Houston, Texas. Formed in 2012, Bluegrass Capital provides consulting and advisory services to private equity funds and public and private corporations. Engagements have included M&A feasibility studies, transaction execution advice and management team consulting/board service, often related to the upstream portion of the U.S. energy industry.

The founder and chairman of Bluegrass Capital is William D. Gutermuth, a native of Louisville, Kentucky. Prior to forming Bluegrass Capital, Bill practiced corporate transactional law in the Houston, Texas, office of Bracewell LLP for 37 years, and served as the head of the worldwide corporate practice and in other leadership positions at Bracewell during his legal career there. He retired from active legal practice at the end of 2014.

In addition to serving on the board of a number of private companies, Bill has also served as a director of several public companies, including Main Street Capital Corp., Centennial Resource Development Corp and Alta Mesa Resources, Inc. In each case he joined the board in anticipation of the company's IPO.
